Here is a
genuine
unused
ATLANTA POP FESTIVAL
bumper sticker
from July 4th and 5th, 1969.
This is an awesome
vintage
silk screened
bumper sticker from one of the
earliest
and most successful rock music festivals,
ever!
Although this historical event was about one third the size, it occured a full 6 weeks
before
Woodstock.  It turned out 1969 would be the peak year for pop festivals, and the success of this one led Alex Cooley to hold the 1970 Atlanta Pop festival the following year.  That one would be considerably more successful and more closely resemble Woodstock with many top acts and an attendance somewhere around 300,000+.
Yet by 1970 things died down and there would only be a couple other major rock festivals the whole year with Atlanta being the most popular by far.  Atlanta in the South (known for rednecks and not rock & roll at the time) had achieved something none one else had, not even in California, an even more successful reincarnation as there were almost no other repeat festivals.
This sticker was well preserved and in great shape
as it was boxed in storage and not handled at all in the last 50 years.  It will show very little handling wear, a little age discoloration and a bit of glue residue at the edges.  These were high quality made stickers and have maintained original integrity very well and the glue seems just as fresh and sticky as new.
