NAVAL MANUAL THE 5-INCH 38 CALIBER GUN TRINEES GUIDE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES 1956

$ 26.39

Availability: 18 in stock
  • Modified Item: No
  • Condition: In very good condition, Top corner of front cover has been cut off halfway across and approximately 1/2 inch wide where the original owners name was written. The first page(Preface) was torn a bit on the same corner. Also looks to be a thumb sized burn stain on the bottom right corner possibly from a cigarette. Just a guess as it is on both sides of the front cover. Otherwise, is in perfect condition for a 65-year-old spiral binder type manual. No marks or highlighting on any of the pages that I could see and the fill in the blanks questions are all unfilled. Pages and binding well intact.

    In very good condition, especially considering this is a 65-year-old spiral ring binder basically.  Top corner where the original owner had written their name is cut off and the first page, Preface page, is torn a bit at the same corner.  There is also a thumb-sized burn mark or chemical stain on the bottom right corner of the cover which goes through to the inside of cover.  Not sure what it is as it doesn't feel any different than the rest of the heavy-gauge binder cover and doesn't compromise its integrity. Otherwise, the rest of the manual consists of sharp, unmarked pages and the spiral binder is intact and solid.
    This would be a great piece of military history for anyone who has had the honor of serving our country as a sailor or gunner on any of the many naval warships which were equipped with this rock-solid gun.
    This is a vintage manual that has been in storage for a few years and I'm just now back to clearing out books I have left from a small new & used book store that I closed back in 2005.
    *Most all our books are stored in protective archival plastic and shipped in a protective cardboard sleeve folded around the book to protect it during transit.  We ship economy book rate by Media Mail in most situations unless you request Priority Mail shipping.
