Soviet WW2 Award Payment Coupon Booklet, supplement for an order booklet.
Issued to a recipient of WW2 decoration who was eligible to receive monthly monetary reward for being awarded. Judging by the amount, 5 rubles monthly, the award was probably a Medal for Combat Service. The payment began in June 1945 which means that the award was bestowed during the previous month of May 1945. It is interesting to see that payments stopped in 1947: that year, the Soviet government issued a decree stopping all payments for awards and effectively stiffing millions of WW2 veterans out of their hard-earned reward. There were other benefits that remained, but the monthly pension became a thing of the past after 1947, so these booklets were mostly discarded and now not too easy to find.
The document is in great condition, with intact cloth binding and clean internal pages.
